Advanced Opportunities

Idaho Advanced Opportunities allow for students to individualize their high school learning plan and get a jump start on their future. Schedule a time to meet with the counselor to review options for you.

Fast Forward

Students in grades 7-12 attending public school in Idaho have an allocation of $4,125 to use towards the cost of:

  • Overload Courses – High school classes that are in excess of the student’s full credit load (7 courses per term), up to $225 per course.

  • Dual Credits – Courses transcribed on both high school and college transcript, up to $75 per course.

  • Exams – Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalauraete (IB), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), or Professional Certification

Early Graduation

Early Graduation scholarships are available to students who graduate from high school at least one year early. About $1,500 for every year skipped to be used at any Idaho public post-secondary institution.  

Funds are available for reimbursement and come from the State of Idaho to Fruitland School District.
